How we compute your kundli.
Short version: we do the math the same way the Government of India does, and we don't sell you a consultation at the end.
Methodology
Naksha generates Vedic birth charts using the Lahiri ayanamsa— the sidereal correction adopted as the Indian government standard. Planetary positions are calculated with Swiss-Ephemeris-grade precision. The chart reflects sidereal Vedic astrology, not the tropical Western system, and your Moon sign (Rashi) is treated as the primary “sign,” not the Sun.
What we do
Generate the chart from name, date, time, and place. Surface the headline placements (Lagna, Rashi, Sun sign, Nakshatra) and explain them in plain English. Show the current Vimshottari Mahadasha and Antardasha. Flag traditional doshas (Manglik, Sade Sati) and explain how to read them without fear. Save your chart in your browser's localStorage so you can come back to it.
What we don't do
We don't store your data on a server. We don't sell paid consultations. We don't run banner ads. We don't make claims about the future you can't verify. The chart is a snapshot of the sky at the second you were born; what you do with it is up to you.
Accessibility
The interface meets WCAG 2.2 AA contrast on all text and UI surfaces. Animations respect prefers-reduced-motion. The chart view ships a Guided mode for first-timers and a Pro mode for power users, and persists your preference in your browser.
